Packing for adventure travel to Africa is always an adventure in itself. The number one rule is that everyone carries their own belongings, including the kids. If you wanna take it, you carry it. The weather in western Kenya, so we hear, is cold and rainy. Cold and rainy? It's on the equator!?! So we need to pack accordingly for day and night. Right now everything is sprawled all across our livingroom as we're at the filter stage (do we really need to bring that?) As well, we need to pack the articles for the orphanages, keeping in mind the airplane weight thresholds. We had to get new passports, for in Kenya your Canadian passport needs to be valid 6 months AFTER you leave the country - and ours expire 6 months less 4 DAYS after we leave. Wow.
